Gulf Food Success
Harland Machine Systems recently exhibited at Gulfood, the world's largest annual food and hospitality event. The acclaimed exhibition, held at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai, ran from the 19th-22nd February. Harland attended alongside Food Specialities Limited, who act as their agent in the region.
The show was well attended and brought Harland many new opportunities representing several applications across the food sector. Demonstrations were made showcasing the front and back labelling capabilities of the Sirius Lite machine, which proved popular with attendees - a blow moulding company even placed an order for a Sirius at the show.
Gulfood is the world's largest and most influential exhibition for the food and beverage industry, and was well attended this year with 68,681 attendees visiting 3,816 exhibitors. This was an 11% increase over last year and the footfall was from 88 countries.
Des Dunleavey, Harland's representative at Gulfood, comments: "This trade show was a complete success for us. We made lots of new contacts and picked up several new projects that we're now working on, and we even received a few repeat orders from enquiries that were made a few years ago. We're still working on a few more orders, even now that a couple of months have passed since the show."
